In the last few days, the committee members of BSides Liverpool 2024 have received a message from our venue, the Maritime Museum. Unfortunately, we were informed that the employees of the Maritime Museum are going on strike from 17th February for 8 weeks.
The committee has discussed the situation, and with the safety and security of our attendees as our top priority we have taken the decision to temporarily postpone the event, with the intention of rescheduling as soon as is safe and appropriate.
We believe in following the ethos of BSides “Be good to, and for, the community.”
For us to continue as planned would mean asking our attendees to cross the picket line which is something we do not believe in, or wish to be associated with our event.
We hope to bring you news of the rescheduled date and/or venue as soon as possible, our hope is to deliver the event before summer. In the meantime, all tickets will be fully refunded as quickly as we can.
We will be contacting all volunteers, sponsors, CFP applicants and ticket holders very soon but sincerely hope to see you all in the near future, by the river…
